Adam Levine To Launch First Fragrance

March 8th, 2012 9:35am EST
Adam Levine
Singer Adam Levine is set to become the latest pop star to launch his own fragrance.

The Maroon 5 frontman's first scent, 222 by Adam Levine, is scheduled to hit department stores in May next year.

A spokesman for ID Perfumes, who have partnered with Levine for the project, says, "Adam is a performer with tremendous charisma, both on stage and on TV. Endeavoring to capture that in a bottle has thus far been very exciting and we're certain the final products will be even more so."

Britney Spears, Selena Gomez, Black Eyed Peas star Fergie and Justin Bieber are among the chart stars who ...

'The Voice' Recap: Season 2's First Battle Rounds Make A Huge Statement

March 6th, 2012 1:06am EST
The Voice
The chairs are done turning, and now it's time to go to battle. We start season two battle rounds this week on The Voice, and just like last season, they are both beautiful and painful. They're great because we get some absolutely wonderful duets, but they hurt because we have to say goodbye to half the artists.

Team Adam leads off, and the first battle pairing of season two is Tony Lucca vs. Chris Cauley. "You guys are going to be singing in harmony and secretly trying to destroy each other," Adam says, which is both hilarious and accurate. He gives them U2's hit (and sometimes o...

'The Voice' Recap: Season 2 Blind Auditions, Part 5

The Voice
After five nights (or expanding by 1.5 times the size of last season), The Voice's blind auditions come to a close. What do the final rosters look like? Who's your favorite team?

Whitney Myer arrives with her version of Alicia Keys' "No One," and though Adam looks like he's taking a nap, he loves what he hears because he hits his button. He's only the first of all four judges to do so. Though Blake declares he's a fan of hers regardless of who she picks, Whitney goes with Adam.

David Dunn shows up with The Script's "The Man Who Can't Be Moved,: which Adam appears to have some sort of un...

He's hoping that making it onto a team will prove to his girlfriend he's stable enough to marry, among other things. Behind The Wheel Of History's 'Top Gear'

"American Top Gear."

It's a phrase that's struck dread in the hearts of many for years. Fans of the hit BBC series - those of us sitting at home with our Jeremy Clarkson books and 'I Am The Stig' T-shirts, and yes, I am one - have heard rumblings about a US import and almost immediately worried one would go south (see: the American adaptation of Coupling, etc.) Yet after a false start (a busted NBC pilot hosted by Adam Carolla), History Channel made the concept a reality two years ago.

And guess what? It's not a nightmare. In fact, it's pretty good.

The cynics - and yes, I was one - are ...

Leading off the night is someone else who's struggled with image issues in the past: Houston-based folk singer Sarah Golden, whose sound catches the attention of Cee Lo. Blake decides to give him a little competition at the last moment. Christina seems to spend a moment inspecting her manicure. My 10 Celebrity Valentines For 2012

Valentine's Day is almost upon us. I don't have a valentine this year, but I'd like to give a few out to 10 celebs whose work I have particular affection for.

1. Adam Levine

My favorite The Voice coach is someone I'll always admire, and deservedly so: he has more hardware than a Home Depot. This past year alone, he and Maroon 5 scored their first American Music Award, a People's Choice Award and a Grammy nomination. I totally concur with my friend Jesse Blaze Snider, who referred to them as a band "with three near-perfect albums." (And a fourth on the way, reportedly due in June.)

Yes, it can.

It's time for a new crop of blind auditions - to meet the first batch of artists we'll be spending this season with. We met some amazing people last year, and while there's not necessarily the "oh my god" factor yet this season, there are some great people in this group, too.
