Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel reunited for a rare performance on stage at the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C. last night as part of a tribute to singer/songwriter Simon. The duo performed the classics Bridge Over Troubled Water and Cecilia after Simon credited his on-off partner for his part in his own success.

Somali-born MC and singer K'Naan has joined Stephen Marley on his Mind Control North America Tour. The two will be joined by Jr. Gong himself, Damian Marley. K'naan will be performing in support of his upcoming debut album The Dusty Foot Philosopher due out later this year.

Tickets are now officially on sale for Lollapalooza 2007, August 3-5 in Chicago’s Grant Park. There's an old black and white photo of Stephen Marley; it's a portrait of the lion as a young man. He's standing against a wall of bamboo rocking short hair and an '80s-style I-Threes t-shirt—puffed up and proud the way only a rebel youth can be. But there's something else in the image—something about the intensity and focus in Stephen's face even as a teen—that shows in an instant that having the last name "Marley" has nothing to do with being the son of a musical icon or an heir to a throne. It does, however, have everything to do with being an individual with a purpose.

Four sons of reggae legend Bob Marley will hold a concert promoting peace to commemorate the 62nd anniversary of the musician's birth next month. The event, dubbed "Smile Jamaica" will take place on February 10 at Marley's birthplace of Nine Miles in St. Ann parish on the island.
