Madina Lake is an alternative rock band that formed in Chicago in 2005. The band began when brothers, Nathan and Matthew Leone, formed their first band, The Blank Theory. Playing local venues in and around Chicago led to meeting drummer Dan Torelli, and Mateo Camargo – who were both in the band, Reforma. The foursome decided to start their own band shortly thereafter.

Madina Lake's debut EP, “The Disappearance of Adalia,” was independently released in 2006. The success of the EP led the band signing a recording contract with Roadrunner Records. Madina Lake's debut album, “From Them, Through Us, to You” arrived in 2007, and peaked at #154 on the Billboard Hot 200 Album Charts and at #60 on the U.K. Album Charts. The band followed-up with a headlining tour with the band, and finished out the year performing alongside Linkin Park. 2008 saw the band hit the road and tour the U.K. performing with Fightstar and Coheed and Cambria. 2008 saw Madina Lake play the Bamboozle festival in New Jersey for the third year in a row. For the next few years the band toured, building up their fan base, and played the Summer Sonic Festival in Osaka, Japan.

Madina Lake's second studio album, “Attics to Eden” emerged in 2009, followed by another tour in support of the album. 2010 saw the band perform at the U.K. Sonisphere Festival, and the Hevy Music Festival. Later that year the band saw an offer from Sony Records, and released their debut for the label. “World War III.”
