M.O.P. Leave G-Unit Records

Hip-hop duo M.O.P. are leaving 50 Cent's record label after three years with the G-Unit imprint failed to yield an album.

Rappers Billy Danze and Lil' Fame signed to G-Unit Records in 2005, but despite the hype surrounding their new deal, the Ante Up stars failed to secure an official release date for their new disc. Their LP was rumored to be released in October, but the album never came into fruition.

But M.O.P.'s manager, Laze Elliot, insists the spilt is amicable. He tells AllHipHop.com, "As soon as I lock down the new situation, it (quitting G-Unit) will be official.

Rapper 50 Cent has blasted Lloyd Banks and Young Buck - insisting they have taken advantage of his generosity. The hip-hop mogul's music label G-Unit Records also boasts rap duo Mobb Deep and M.O.P. - but he believes they have become spoilt by his laid back approach to money. And it took a meeting with his artists to make him realize things had to change.
