Wale Vs 'Furious 7' Soundtrack For No. 1 Spot

April 9th, 2015 8:22am EDT
Wale Takes ‘The Album About Nothing’ To Top of the Billboard Cha
The title of rapper Wale’s latest album is an unfortunate one – The Album About Nothing. From a critical standpoint, The Album About Nothing is another captivating effort from the MC who has compelled the world with three previous LPs. From a commercial standpoint, Wale claims his second consecutive number one album, following 2013’s The Gifted. While The Gifted performed better, Wale’s impact at 100,000 units is impressive given seemingly less aggressive promotion compared to The Gifted (single “Bad” was a sizable single at the time).

Wale led a number of ‘impactful’ new releases, th...

Ludaversal Is A Better Than Expected Comeback Album

April 2nd, 2015 1:10pm EDT
Review: Ludacris Is Still Ludicrous on Comeback Album 'Ludaversa
After a five-year hiatus, one of the South’s most beloved MCs has returned – Ludacris! It was back in 2010 when Ludacris had everybody nodding their heads to sex-driven joints like “How Low” and “My Chick Bad,” not to mention the Trey Songz assisted “Sex Room.” For anyone else, being out of the game for such a long time might end the career, but on Ludaversal, Ludacris pretty much picks up where he left off. No, he’s not nearly as suggestive as past, but he doesn’t let newfound maturity and expansion of palette ruin the fun in the least.

Ludaversal opens with an intro – “Ludaversal In...

Martha Stewart's Hilariously Filthy Jokes Just Won Justin Bieber
Is anyone else in awe of Martha Stewart right now? Stewart was one of many taking shots at the Biebs at The Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber, but the TV mogul blew away all of them. Even the professional comedians.

How did she do it? By being as offensive and below-the-belt as possible. Which, from Martha Stewart, is just about the funniest thing in existence. Check out a few of Stewart's choicest moments below.

On Kevin Hart:

"As we all know, Kevin is one of the biggest movie stars in the business right now, and he deserves it. He struggled for years. when he finally got his first...

Wale And Ludacris Lead Albums To Check Out
Ah, March 31st is turning out to be quite a big new release day – by no means is March ending like a ‘lamb.’ Arguably, there is not a surefire juggernaut release the likes of Kendrick Lamar dropping this week, but there is a healthy dose of big names ending March on a high note. Led by Wale and a comeback album by Ludacris, here are seven newbies to check out this week!

1) Wale, The Album About Nothing (Atlantic)

Wale returns with his fourth studio album, The Album About Nothing. Nothing follows up Wale’s 2013 LP The Gifted, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200. The Album About...

15 ‘Drunken’ Songs: Music Written With A Lack Of Sobriety In Min
If a poll were taken, likely the majority of folks would state they enjoy an alcoholic beverage. If that poll were to focus merely on college students, the majority would be even larger. But this isn’t about how much alcohol is consumed, but rather about the songs that have been written with drunkenness, drinking, and a lack of sobriety in mind. Here are 15 Drunken Songs. Most are about substances, but a few play exception.

1) Kendrick Lamar, “Swimming Pools (Drank)” (good kid m.A.A.d. City, 2012)

20 More Of The Dirtiest Rap Songs Ever Made
Rap IS the gift that keeps giving. Why? Well, for every rap song not filled with filth, there are numerous others that are. A previous list, 20 Dirty Rap Songs, just couldn’t do justice all by itself for all the dirty, risqué songs within the hip-hop hemisphere. So, here are 20 More of the dirtiest rap songs!

ABC's 'Rising Star' Mediocre At Best

"You win some, you lose some." Perhaps that’s how ABC should view their latest flawed effort joining the singing competition market, Rising Star. It's the latest attempt at finding a 'superstar' – or perhaps it’s just ABC striving to compete with other networks in the karaoke realm. After all, NBC has The Voice and Fox has American Idol. Adding fuel to the fire, ABC has fallen flat previously – Duets ended after one season.

Rising Star has good intentions – the viewers select the artists vying for a recording contract with Capitol records. The idea sounded great decent on paper… If t...

10 Stars & Their Reasonably Priced Cars
We know that a lot of Hollywood celebs just love to flaunt their wealth - and a lot of the time this comes in the shape of very expensive automobiles. Some celebrities though, don't feel the need to buy an expensive automobile to just display their status.

A lot of celebrities, automotively-speakings, are a lot like me and you - they have cars that they just use as transport pieces - a reliable, economic way to get from point A to B. We respect that kind of frugality - and today we pay homage to the stars that drive reasonably priced cars. Who knows? Maybe you drive the same car as one of ...

R.Kelly Black Panties
R. Kelly sounds exceptionally vocally on Black Panties, goes overboard sensually.

R. Kelly has a compelling argument for the title of the “King of R&B”, easily.  For years and years, the sensually driven R&B singer has captivated audiences with his R- (and sometimes X-) rated brand of contemporary soul, ultimately epitomizing the urban sound.  Like many of his contemporaries and other artists he’s influenced, Kelly’s sales have taken a tumble from their glory days – the plight that is R&B music these days. Kelly’s previous two albums consisted of brand new material, but found the singer r...
