Beach Boys To Mark 50th Anniversary With 'Brand New' Album

The Beach Boys have announced they are working on their first album of new material since 1996.

The legendary group reunited after Brian Wilson and Mike Love teamed up with fellow original Al Jardine as part of a Beach Boys tribute at the Grammys earlier this year.

They are heading out on an extensive world tour in the summer to celebrate their 50th anniversary, and member Bruce Johnston has revealed the group has been in the studio to come up with brand new tracks to play on the road.

The reunited Beach Boys have announced dates for an extensive spring and summer world tour, just days after a get together at the Grammy Awards.

Brian Wilson and Mike Love teamed up with fellow original Al Jardine as part of a Beach Boys tribute at the Grammys - and now they're heading out on the road together for the first time since the late 1990s.

It will be the first time the trio has hit the road with both David Marks and Bruce Johnston, who sandwiched Glen Campbell in the surf pop band in the mid-1960s.

The Beach Boys will reteam onstage for the first time in 20 years to perform with Foster the People and Maroon 5 at the Grammy Awards on Sunday.

Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine and Bruce Johnston will play with one-time member David Marks at music's big night, which will launch a series of reunion events for the classic pop act.

The "Barbara Ann" singers will perform a medley with "Pumped Up Kicks" hitmakers Foster The People and Adam Levine's Maroon 5.
