Loggins and Messina are a pop-rock duo consisting of Kenny Loggins and Jim Messina who hit the height of their success in the early 1970s. The duo is known for their popular hit songs: “Danny's Song,” “House at Pooh Corner,” and “Your Mama Don't Dance.” Messina and Loggins met when Messina was working as a record producer at Columbia Records in 1970, and Loggins was an up-and-coming singer/songwriter signed to ABC-Dunhill. The duo made an instant connection through their musical tastes and began collaborating together. As a result, Columbia Records offered Loggins a record deal.
