Lloyd Cole and the Commotions was a British pop band that formed in Glasgow, Scotland in 1982; their music was a prominent fixture of the indie rock/pop scene throughout the 1980’s, filled with shimmering melodies that made them a favorite amongst fans. The band members consisted of Lloyd Cole (vocals, guitar and lyricist) who was born in Derbyshire, England in 1961, Blair Cowan (keyboards) who was born in 1960, Lawrence Donegan (bass guitar) born in 1961, Neil Clark (guitar) born in 1955 and Stephen Irvine (drums) born in 1959.
