Rockers Linkin Park have broken new boundaries by debuting their new music promo on Tuesday (25Mar14) via an unlikely outlet - Xbox video game Project Spark.

The Numb hitmakers joined forces with the game's programmers at Team Dakota to create the first fully-interactive music video within a computer game for Guilty All the Same, after keyboardist Joe Hahn came up with the idea while attending last year's (13) E3 games conference in Los Angeles.

Linkin Park And The Offspring To Play Philippines Benefit Concert

Linkin Park are teaming up with The Offspring to play a benefit performance for victims of the typhoon in the Philippines.

The two bands will come together for a special show in L.A. in January to raise funds for Linkin Park's charity Music For Relief, an organization which provides aid to disaster areas.

The Concert for the Philippines event at the Club Nokia venue will bring in money to help those affected by Typhoon Haiyan, which ripped through the Asian country in November and left more than 5,000 dead.

More acts will be added to the line-up in the coming weeks.

The new-look Stone Temple Pilots have slightly changed their moniker as Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington joins the band for upcoming tour dates and record releases.

Bennington joined the group three months ago after his new bandmates fired former frontman Scott Weiland and now the rockers have announced plans to release a new EP as Stone Temple Pilots with Chester Bennington.

High Rise will be released on the band's own label, Play Pen/ADA, on 5 October (13), and will include the group's first single, Out of Time.

Stone Temple Pilots have announced their first tour with Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington as frontman.

Bennington replaced Scott Weiland in the band earlier this year (13) and made his debut as frontman in May (13) at KROQ's Weenie Roast festival - and now it looks as if his position will be permanent.

Rockers Linkin Park will headline the sixth annual Sunset Strip Music Festival in Los Angeles this summer (13).

The group will close down the fabled West Hollywood stretch of Sunset Boulevard on 3 August (13) and raise money for the band's disaster relief charity.

Linkin Park have offered their condolences after a fan died before their show in Cape Town, South Africa on Wednesday when scaffolding collapsed.

As well as the fatality, 20 others were injured outside the Cape Town Stadium when an advertising structure fell. Reports suggest the majority of those hurt were women carrying out promotional work.
