Lifehouse is an American alternative band from Los Angeles. The group includes Jason Wade (lead vocals, guitar), Rick Woolstenhulme Jr. (drums, percussion), Bryce Soderberg (bass guitar) and Ben Carey (guitar). Lead singer and songwriter Jason Wade originally formed Lifehouse as a church rock band, and often performed for church worship services before signing to the commercial record label DreamWorks.

“No Name Face,” their debut album, was released in October 2000, and it produced the hit “Hanging by a Moment” which went on to be the most played song on radio the following year. This album launched Lifehouse into the limelight, and produced many radio-friendly hits. It has sold over four million copies worldwide.

Released in 2002, “Stanley Climbfall,” their second studio album, featured the hit single “Spin.” Like their first album, “Stanley Climbfall” was produced by Ron Aniello.

Their eponymous third album, “Lifehouse,” was released in March 2005 and was produced by John Alagia. The album's first single, “You and Me,” was written several years prior and was originally performed by Jason Wade in the 2000 independent film “All Over Again.” The song was a success and stayed on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart for 62 weeks (the fifth longest-charted in history), peaking at #5.

Their fourth album, entitled “Who We Are,” was released in June 2007. The album's first single was “First Time,” which debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at #48 and peaked at #3 on the Hot Adult Top 40 chart.

“Smoke and Mirrors” was released in March 2010 by Geffen Records, and peaked at #6 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart. The album's lead single, “Halfway Gone,” which entered several Billboard charts including Billboard's Hot 100, Adult Contemporary, Digital Songs, Hot Dance Club Songs, Pop Songs, and Radio Songs charts.

Their sixth studio album, “Almería,” was released in December 2012 by Geffen Records. The album was produced by Jude Cole, who has worked with Lifehouse on previous albums. The lead single off the album was “Between the Raindrops,” a duet with British pop singer Natasha Bedingfield.
