Rockers David Byrne, The Strokes and Rufus Wainwright helped Yoko Ono celebrate her 75th birthday on Monday night at a party in New York. Sean Lennon, Ono's son with late Beatle John Lennon, organized the event at Joe's Pub.

Paul McCartney is hoping to launch his son James' music career - by helping him record a debut album. The 30-year-old drummer and guitarist - who is the former Beatles star's son with first wife Linda - has already appeared on two of his McCartney's solo albums, but is keen to launch his own LP.

Ozzy Osbourne's stuntman son Jack is to star in an upcoming documentary about a charity car rally from London to Mongolia. The Mongol Rally started last weekend, and Osbourne is among the drivers on the 10,000-mile trek through seven mountain ranges and three deserts.

John Lennon's widow Yoko Ono has called for his murderer Mark David Chapman to be locked up until he dies. Chapman has been in prison since he shot Lennon to death outside his Manhattan home on December 8, 1980.
