February 15th, 2012 9:05am EST
Chris Brown
Chris Brown has fired back at country star Miranda Lambert and critics who took aim at Grammy Awards producers for inviting him to perform at music's big night on Sunday.

The R&B star performed twice and picked up the Best R&B Album prize - but many industry executives, fans and stars felt he shouldn't have been there on the third anniversary of his infamous fight with ex-girlfriend Rihanna, which landed him in court on assault charges and resulted in a hard labour sentence, five years' probation and an order to stay away from the Umbrella star.

Outspoken Lambert was one of many stars who...

Miranda Lambert
Country star Miranda Lambert was far from impressed with Chris Brown's performances at Sunday's Grammy Awards, because she feels the R&B singer had no place at the ceremony - on the third anniversary of his assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

The Kiss Kiss hit-maker and his then-partner Rihanna pulled out of planned appearances at the 2009 Grammys after becoming embroiled in a violent bust-up on the eve of music's big night. He was later arrested, charged with assault, sentenced to hard labor and ordered to stay away from the Umbrella hit-maker.

The restraining order against his ex, who a...

2012 Grammy Awards Fashion: Some Wore Colors While Most Wore Black On A Bittersweet Evening

February 13th, 2012 12:54pm EST
2012 Grammy Awards
The 2012 Grammy Awards will forever be remembered for one reason: the event took place the night after the music industry lost one of their biggest stars in an untimely fashion: Whitney Houston.

Despite the somber undertones of host LL Cool J's opening prayer for the late singer and a rousing performance of her hit song "I Will Always Love You" by Jennifer Hudson; the night was about the music and the attitude that the show must go on.

As always with award shows, the night is also about the fashion. While many stars wore black - perhaps in honor of the late Houston - many stars let the c...

Music Review: Blake Shelton, 'Red River Blue'

I like Blake Shelton as a person - and with his latest album, Red River Blue, he's made me like country music.

No offense to country fans, but I'm a hard case to convince; to give you an idea, I admit to owning one Garth Brooks album, but only because I used it to get partiers in my college dorm to go away. That makes Shelton's newest release all the more impressive, because it didn't just prick up my cynical ear - I actively enjoyed it.

Red River Blue is an album that's sure to hang around your CD player for awhile. At least, it's still in mine. Many of the songs have hooks that...
