Lambert, Hendricks & Ross were a vocal jazz group formed by jazz vocalists Dave Lambert, Jon Hendricks and Annie Ross in 1957. The group were a prominent feature of the Jazz scene during the ‘50’s and the ‘60’s, although their music incorporated bop harmonies and swinging vocals, they transformed numerous instrumental jazz classics into their own distinctive sound. The group earned respect from vocalists and jazz musicians alike, with Hendricks’s clever and witty lyrics, to Ross’ reputation as one of the strongest, most dexterous female voices in the history of jazz vocals.
