Kutless is a Christian rock band from Portland, Oregon formed in 2000. Originally named Call Box, they changed to Kutless in October 2001.

They first released a three track EP which was followed up by their full-length self-titled album in 2002 on BEC Recordings. Their first single was called "Your Touch." Their second single from the album, "Run," would go on to hold the record for the longest charting song in the history of the R&R Top 40 charts.

In 2004 they released their second full-length album, “Sea of Faces.” Singles “Treason” and “Sea of Faces” were released with the latter becoming their first to appear on the Billboard US Hot Christian Songs chart, peaking at #8.

In 2005 they released their first worship album, “Strong Tower.” The title track reached #4 on the Hot Christian Songs chart and the follow up “It’s Like Me” peaked at #21. Later in 2005, Kutless began recording their fourth full-length album. The album, “Hearts of the Innocent,” was released on March 21, 2006. It featured the singles "Shut Me Out" and "Somewhere in the Sky."

“To Know That You’re Alive” was released in June 2004 and debuted at #64 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart. Its single “Complete” reached #18 on the Hot Christian Songs chart.

In 2010 the band released the album “It is Well” debuting at #2 on Billboard's Hot Christian Albums chart and #42 on the Billboard Top 200. The single "What Faith Can Do" charted at #1 on the Billboard Hot Christian Songs chart and #14 on the Top Heatseekers chart.
