The Human League's Australian Tour Axed

The Human League have cancelled their Australian tour after music festival organizers reportedly failed to book visas for the band.

The group was set to headline the Rewind Festival at the end of this month, alongside fellow 1980s stars Sister Sledge and Kool and the Gang, but promoters dropped the acts from the line-up without any warning last week.

The '80s-themed event, which was recently relocated to Sydney, has now been axed altogether - and The Human League have pulled their remaining dates Down Under, blaming organizers.

Marilyn Manson is set to mentor wannabe singers on Austrian reality TV show "Helden Von Morgen."

The "Beautiful People" hitmaker has signed up to help the hopefuls on the program, which translates as "Tomorrow's Heroes," and will appear tutoring the stars in an episode to be aired later this month.

Manson follows in the footsteps of Kim Wilde and Robert 'Kool' Bell of Kool & The Gang, who have previously coached contestants on the talent show.

Soul supergroup Kool & the Gang are aiming for the pop charts again with their first album for 10 years. The Joanna hitmakers will release Still Kool next month - their long-awaited follow-up to 1996's State of Affairs.

The new album features covers of Christopher Cross' Sailing and What's Happening Brother by Marvin Gaye. Meanwhile, new song Dave is inspired by classic sci-fi film 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Kool & The Gang guitarist Claydes Charles Smith has died after suffering from a long illness. He was 57. Smith passed away in Mapplewood, New Jersey, on Tuesday, according to his publicist.

Smith wrote Kool & The Gang hits “Joanna” and “Take My Heart” and co-wrote a host of other hits including “Jungle Boogie” and “Celebration.”
