Beyonce's younger sister will return to her roots at Sony Music Entertainment after landing a distribution deal for her own imprint, Saint Records.

Breaking the news to fans via Twitter.com, she writes, "Super stoked to announce I've started my own label,SAINT RECORDS,where I'll be releasing my music & other projects distributed through SONY!

"Through Saint Records I will have 100% creative/artistic control & continue to passionately pursue my footing in this new musical movement."

On Wednesday airport security guards insisted on searching Solange Knowles' afro wig, and she was put off by the incident.

While on her way to board a flight out of Miami, Transport Security Administration (TSA) officials asked her to remove her hairpiece to prove she wasn't hiding any prohibitive items in there.

After the incident Knowles posted a link on a 2011 news article about a woman who was subjected to similar treatment by TSA officials at an airport in Atlanta, Georgia. She tweeted, "I kid you not. This just happened to me."

The singer's blog on the social networking site was updated on Friday afternoon with a message championing the affects of a diet product and providing followers with a link to purchase the weight-loss aid.

Stylist Tina Knowles began legal proceedings to put an end to her 29-year marriage in Harris County, Texas last month, according to TMZ.com.
