Sonya Kitchell To Tour With The Slip; New CD Out Tuesday
Early raves have begun to roll in for Sonya Kitchell's latest This Storm, out Tuesday, September 2nd on Decca/Velour.
Kitchell is preparing to launch a headlining tour backed by indie-rockers The Slip. The 31-date tour kicks off September 24 in Burlington, VT. The tour comes on the heels of a globe-trotting trek as a featured vocalist in Herbie Hancock's band. Live From Abbey Road, the Sundance original music series, reaches its halfway point in episode 6 of the twelve part series.
The episode begins by featuring British self-described "Odd Pop" band, The Hoosiers.
