Kimbra (born Kimbra Johnson, March 27, 1990), is a New Zealand singer/songwriter from Hamilton, New Zealand. She is currently based in Melbourne, Australia.

Kimbra's first single “Settle Down” was released in 2010 and in June 2011 she signed to Warner Bros. Records New Zealand for distribution in New Zealand and Australia, as well as a worldwide deal for all other territories with Warner Bros. Records in the U.S.

Kimbra's debut album “Vows” was released in 2011 in New Zealand and Australia. The album peaked at #3 in New Zealand and #4 in Australia on the ARIA charts. Notable Australian producer M-Phazes produced Kimbra's track “Call me” and lent additional production to many of the other tracks on the album.

Kimbra appeared with the Australian/Belgian artist Gotye for his single “Somebody That I Used to Know,” from his album, “Making Mirrors.” The single was a commercial success charting nationally and internationally. She won the New Zealand Critics' Choice awards 2011. She also won for Best Female Artist and for Best Song (for “Somebody That I Used to Know”) at the 2011 ARIA awards.

Later in 2011 Warner Bros. issued the EP, “Settle Down” in the United States. It featured “Settle Down,” “Limbo” a live take on “Plain Gold Ring” and a remix of “Cameo Lover.”
