Even if you are not a big fan of rock and roll music, there are some opening lines to songs that grab your attention and keep it. Some of the greatest rock bands in the world have crafted masterpieces, but their opening lines leave a little something to be desired. A man who broke into Kid Rock's home in July (13) has been sentenced to almost two years behind bars.

Brian Keith, who pleaded no contest to attempted home invasion in court in Michigan on 4 September (13), was also charged with malicious destruction of a building and malicious destruction of personal property.

He maintains he has no recollection of the break-in because he was drunk at the time.

The 42 year old was captured on surveillance video smashing several windows.

A man accused of breaking into Kid Rock's home in July (13) has pleaded no contest to attempted home invasion, but insists he was so drunk he has no recollection of the incident.

Brian Keith, who was in court in Michigan on Wednesday (04Sep13), was also charged with malicious destruction of a building and malicious destruction of personal property.

All three charges against him are felonies.

Keith's court-appointed attorney, Douglas Oliver, has requested his client is sentenced to substance abuse treatment as part of his sentence. He will be sentenced on 25 September (13).

The man who allegedly tried to break into Kid Rock's house in Detroit, Michigan last week (ends04Aug13) has been charged with second-degree attempted home invasion.

Brian D. Keith, 43, appeared by video link at the District Court in Clarkston on Tuesday (06Aug13), and he was was also charged with two counts of malicious destruction of property.

Keith was arrested on Saturday (03Aug13) after the discovery of CCTV footage which allegedly showed him ramming the security gate with his vehicle and trying to enter the house on Wednesday (31Jul13).

He is being held on a $75,000 (£50,000) bond.

The 42-year-old star, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, launched a public appeal along with a $5,000 reward after security footage showed a man on crutches trying to gain entry to his property in Clarkston, Michigan, and the 43-year-old intruder has now been arrested following two tips to the local sheriff.
