Mathew “Mat” Kearney (born December 1, 1978) is an American musician born in Eugene, Oregon, now based in Nashville, Tennessee.

He recorded an album, “Bullet” in 2004. The album contains several tracks that were redone for Kearney's major label debut, “Nothing Left to Lose” in 2006. The title track and first single peaked at #41 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart. The album peaked at #4 on the Billboard Christian Albums chart.

Kearney released his third album, “City of Black & White” in 2009. It peaked at #13 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart and #1 on the Christian Albums chart. The single, “Closer to Love” peaked at #7 on the Christian Songs chart and #91 on the Billboard Hot 100.
