Melbourne's Landmark Music Venue Destroyed In Fire
Legendary Australian music venue The Palace, which has played host to
Nirvana,
Foo Fighters and
Iggy Pop, is to be demolished after it was destroyed in a fire on Wednesday. The popular Melbourne haunt, which has also seen performances by British rockers
Kasabian and
Arctic Monkeys, was gutted in a blaze which broke out around 3pm local time.
