German rockers Rammstein have warned the press to stop letting their "greed for news" stand in the way of accurate reporting after falling victim to media lies earlier this week. Rammstein Release Was A Hoax
German rockers Rammstein have responded to a hoax that fooled fans into thinking frontman Till Lindemann had quit. In a statement reportedly issued by the band's management company on Monday, it was announced Tillemann had left the band and former KMFDM star En Esch was to take his place.
But, on Tuesday, the band assured fans the press release was an elaborate hoax.
A representative for the group says, "It is not true and was not released by either band or management. We have no idea where this comes from."

German industrial rockers Rammstein have acted quickly to replace frontman Till Lindemann, who announced his plans to quit the group on Friday.
In what was a very unlucky Friday the 13th for the band, Lindemann revealed he would be leaving Rammstein once work on the group's new album had been completed.
A spokesman for the singer says, "Till's decision is mainly based on the increasing inharmoniousness within the band and was well deliberated. He will head now for other challenges which can be a solo career or maybe a new project."
