Journey Drummer Facing Rape Charges In Oregon

Journey drummer Deen Castronovo has been charged with rape following an arrest in Oregon early last week.

Castronovo was taken into police custody on June 14 after a domestic dispute with his wife at the couple's Salem, Oregon home that resulted in misdemeanor charges of assault and menacing.

Additional charges against the rock drummer were added after he was indicted by a grand jury in Marion County, Oregon on Monday, including felony charges of rape, sexual abuse, coercion and unlawful use of a weapon, according to He was also hit with three contempt of court charges for violat...

Journey Drummer Replaced

Dean Castronovo, the drummer from Journey, has been kicked out of the band. The rocker was arrested for domestic violence last week, and the group decided to replace him while he's dealing with his "pending issues."

TMZ reported that Castronovo was arrested at his home in Oregon for an alleged domestic violence incident. It was the drummer's second arrest for the same crime.

In response, band members decided to drop Castronovo from the line up. Omar Hakim has taken Castronovo's place and will join the group on its current tour.

Journey Donates $350,000 To Victims Of Typhoon Haiyan

Journey is donating $350,000 to the victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. Funds will be used to provide food relief via the United National World Food Program, which will help distribute 1.4 million meals.

Journey's promoter Live Nation Entertanment, Creative Artists Agency and band manager John Baruck are also taking part in the contribution.

The band's singer, Arnel Pineda, is a native of Manila. He was hired to front the group in December 2007 after guitarist Neal Schon saw him on YouTube singing covers of Journey songs.

A $50 million lawsuit involving Journey guitarist Neal Schon and businessman Tareq Salahi has been settled. The terms of the settlement are confidential.

In September, 2011 Michaele Salahi left her husband for the rock star. Tareq later filed for divorce after finding out his wife had been leading a double life.

Tareq filed a lawsuit, claiming Schon ruined his marriage and prevented them from appearing on an Austrailian version of "Dancing With The Stars."

Blige was released Tuesday, and if you look close enough (near the end) you can catch Cruise, as aging rocker Stacee Jaxx, belting out a few lines of Bon Jovi's classic "Wanted Dead Or Alive".

The film features the music of numerous 80s hair bands, including Def Leppard, Journey, Poison, and Warrant.

Journey guitarist Neal Schon has been hit with a $50 million lawsuit from his girlfriend's estranged husband.

Tareq Salahi's wife Michaele left the businessman and reality TV star for the rocker last September and he later filed for divorce after learning she had been living a "double life" for several years.

Now he has launched a legal battle with the musician in Virginia, claiming Schon tore his marriage apart.

Rockers Journey are to be honored with Billboard's Legend of Live trophy at the magazine's eighth annual 2011 Touring Awards.

The accolade is given to groups or individuals who have made "significant and lasting contributions to live music and the touring business."

Previous recipients have included Rush, Ozzy Osbourne and Elton John.

Rage Against The Machine, Kiss, AC/DC and Slash are leading the nominations for the Classic Rock Roll Of Honor awards, with two nods each. Rock legends Kiss and former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash are both nominated in the prestigious Album of the Year and Band of the Year categories.

The 2009-10 television season finally draws to a close tonight with the season finale of FOX's little show that could, "Glee."

Our favorite glee club New Directions has made it to the regional competition and will square off against rival Vocal Adrenaline.

New Directions will peform some songs from Journey, including "Lovin', Touchin' Squeezin'" and "Don't Stop Believing." And the new soundtrack "Glee, The Music: Journey to the Regionals" is released in stores today too.

Former Journey star Steve Perry has taken aim at comedienne Sarah Silverman for suggesting he used a racist slur to describe her humor.

Silverman refused to name names in her interview with Playboy magazine, but hinted that the "onetime lead singer of a very popular band from the 1980s" was Perry, joking, "I'll just say this: After that, I stopped believin'," which the rocker took as a reference to Journey hit "Don't Stop Believin.'"
