Big Time Rush's James Maslow Talks Big Summer Plans
I'll admit it: when I hear the phrase "boy band," I'm one of those people who cringes. But I recently chatted with Big Time Rush member James Maslow, and he changed my mind a little bit.

In concept, their origin is reminiscent of The Monkees. Since 2009, the foursome have been acting in the half-hour musical/comedy series as well as releasing two albums. Sandra Bullock Donates $1 Million To Japanese Disaster Relief
Generous Sandra Bullock has donated $1 million to help the relief effort following Japan's earthquake and tsunami disasters last week.
The move follows a similar hand-out from the kind-hearted Oscar winner following the Haiti earthquake last year. Bullock's donation will benefit the American Red Cross' efforts in the Far East.
Her cash matches the donation actress/singer Demi Lovato reportedly made to charity earlier this week.

Hot Legs: Colbie Caillat At Portugal's Festival Sudoeste
Colbie Caillat recently performed at the Festival Sudoeste 2010 Music Festival in Portugal looking casual yet sexy in a teeny, tiny skirt; black tank top; and leather boots. Huzzah!
The singer has no qualms about showing off her figure - earlier this year she posed for Allure magazine's "Nude" issue. She hoped the images were seen in the right light.
She explained, "I worried that it might make [my younger fans] think I was changing somehow. I hope they think to themselves, 'Yeah, she's showing a woman's body, and it's beautiful.'"
And for those of you still wondering how to pronounce he...

'Community' Recap:'Home Economics'
After a nearly perfect Halloween episode, this week's Community feels like a bit of a let down. Jeff appears topless right away, revealing himself to be living out of his car. Again, this show continues to mime the various aspects of the community college experience, this time the compromises one makes with his pride. Jeff still wants to be a superficial lawyer with a lavish condo and a Lexus, but in order to become a real person, someone Britta would date, he'll have to set his sights lower.
He moves into Abed's dorm (yes, some larger community colleges have dorms), where he learns the ...

'American Idol' Showdown: Adam Should Win In A Landslide
It's interesting the way Ryan Seacrest framed last night's battle of the American Idol finalists, painting a major contrast between the two contestants. His list of the differences between the two singers was not simply a clashing description of two people, but a sort of rallying cry for the sections of the country each guy supposedly represented.
In one corner, Ryan gave us the clean-cut country boy from the "real" America who would just love to get your votes. In the other corner, we met the freakish glam rocker from that hedonistic land of California who does his best to com...

'American Idol' Banter: Handicapping The Top 3
For those of you who remember my infamous predictions from the Top 13, I beg your forgiveness. For those of you who don't remember or didn't bother reading, let's just move on. On the bright side, at least I had Adam Lambert in the Top 3!
This time around, I'd like to do it differently. Instead of simply picking who I think will finish first, second, and third, I'm going to list five reasons why each of the remaining three contestants can walk away as the next "American Idol." Yeah, that's right, I'm implying that Adam isn't a lock, regardless of whom he faces in the finals.

'American Idol' Banter: And Then There Were 8
I was wrong about Megan Joy. There, I said it. But looking back, picking her to win Season 8 of American Idol didn't seem like such an outrageous prediction - she was talented, unique, marketable, possessed mass appeal, and was easily the best-looking(1) contestant in the Top 13. That's usually a nice recipe for success on "Idol."
Unfortunately, Megan had some sort of mental breakdown once she reached the Top 13. Instead of picking songs that really showcased what kind of singer she was capable of becoming, she repeatedly sabotaged herself. Here's a quick recap of Megan's poor decision...
