Watch Britney Spears' New Video For '3'

10/30/2009 11:19am EDT
Britney Spears 3
Britney Spears just launched a new video for "3" on her official website. The pop star, who has had her share of troubles over the past few years, looks quite refreshed in a low-cut white bodysuit and a revealing black bodysuit. The outfits leave little to the imagination as she and several other dancers pulsate and hang from a pole suspended in the air.

Britney was recently voted the second worst celebrity influence of 2009 in a new online poll. Miley Cyrus took the top spot.

Olivia Newton-John feels sorry for Britney - who found fame as a teenager in the late 1990s - because the amo...

It was October 25, 1978. Laverne and Shirley, Charlie's Angels and MASH were in the top ten TV shows. Movie theater prices were about $2.50. John Travolta and Olivia Newton John were star-crossed lovers in Grease, and John Belushi was acting a fool at school in Animal House.

Then He Came Home.

Halloween, one of the best and scariest movies of all time - if not the scariest - premiered in selected cities across the country. This independent film had one basic premise: a maniacal killer stalks teenagers on Halloween night. It is said to be one of the most effective horror movies ev...

Spotlight On Movies That Became Musicals

8/28/2008 10:30am EDT
The Little Mermaid
Fans of movie musicals know that most of their favorites, like "Grease," "West Side Story," "The Sound of Music," and "Oklahoma!" were adapted from popular Broadway plays. However, the trend in recent years has been to flip that formula around by taking a big-screen hit and trying to turn it into a small-stage sensation.

Disney has had great success with its theatrical adaptations, starting in 1994 with the critically-acclaimed "Beauty and the Beast." The hits kept coming with stage productions of "The Lion King," "Mary Poppins," and, most recently, "The Little Mermaid."

Spotlight On Australian Entertainers

7/21/2008 9:00am EDT
Russell Crowe
What is it about Aussies that Americans find so fascinating? Is it the cute accents? The laid-back attitudes? The "party animal" reputations? It could be a mix of all of these traits. It could also be because, although we speak the same language and our cultures have many similarities, many of us know very little about Australia. That strange yet familiar vibe makes those down under denizens appear exciting and mysterious - an irresistible combo!

Since Americans are also fascinated with celebrities, it's no surprise that so many awesome Aussie entertainers have found fame in the U.S. ...

'Grease' Is The Word: Celebrating The Iconic Film's 30th Anniversary

6/16/2008 11:01am EDT
It opened on June 16, 1978: Grease, the Paramount movie musical about one school year at fictional Rydell High, was a phenomenon from the start, taking in $12.7 million dollars domestically in its opening weekend (more than double its production costs) and going on to gross $380 million worldwide.

Danny: Oh, bite the weenie, Riz.

Rizzo: With relish.

30 years have passed since "Grease" debuted in theatres yet the film itself remains as fresh, relevant and relatable as ever: Whether a baby-boomer or a Millennial, in the halls of old Rydell, we are all 17 again. Based on the orig...

Australian Superstar Delta Goodrem Lands On U.S. Shores With Self Titled Album

6/10/2008 7:00pm EDT
Delta Goodrem
Australian sensation Delta Goodrem, at just 23, is already one of Australia's most successful and highest-selling female artists. Now, Australia's best kept secret is poised for a major U.S. debut CD release with Delta, set for release on June 10th from Mercury/Decca.

In an era of pre-fabricated as-seen-on-TV pop-stars, Delta Goodrem is the real thing. A pianist since the age of seven, Goodrem harks back to a bygone era where pop stars wrote their own songs and sang them live - as simple as that. Her debut album in the U.S. serves as a welcome antidote to the rushed world of generic...

The Five Best & Worst Films Starring John Travolta

4/10/2008 2:00pm EDT
John Travolta has been acting for over 30 years since his burst onto the scene as hot disco stud Tony Manero in Saturday Night Fever. In the early 80s he went into an acting slump, starring in disappointing films left and right.

Then he made his comeback in 1994 as Vincent Vega in Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction. Since then, he has been in dozens of movies, been nominated for two Academy Awards and won a Golden Globe. Travolta is now a little older, a little chubbier and a little balder, but we still admire his work as he continues to dance his way onto the silver screen.
