Elton John Slams Madonna Again For Her Super Bowl Performance

Elton John has taken another swipe at his pop rival Madonna by urging her to "lip sync good" at the Super Bowl this weekend during a TV interview.

The Rocket Man has poked fun at the Material Girl's stageshow in the past and he's put the pressure on her to sing live during the much-anticipated half-time show on Sunday.

Asked if he'll be tuning in to watch the spectacle, Elton told Good Morning America on Monday, "Super Bowl is always an event, no matter where you are in the world. It's a great American occasion... I scream at the television."

The Rocket Man started the verbal spat by telling reporters on the red carpet that his rival "doesn't have a f**king chance of winning tonight," and when asked if those were "fighting words," he replied, "No, those are accurate words."

Elton John has named Justin Timberlake as his "number one" choice to star in his upcoming biopic.

The veteran musician is moving forward with plans to turn his life story into a major movie-musical with help from his film producer partner David Furnish and Billy Elliot writer Lee Hall.

The pop superstar's duet with Elton John, Hello Hello, from the Rocket Man's Gnomeo & Juliet movie, has been included in a long list of 39 songs in competition for gold at the 2012 Academy Awards.

Motley Crue have confirmed reports they will become the first heavy rock band to take on a Las Vegas residency when they play a three-week run in Sin City next year.

Rockers Nikki Sixx, Vince Neil, Tommy Lee and Mick Mars will appear live at the city's Hard Rock Hotel and Casino for a stint kicking off on February 3rd.

They confirmed the news during a TV interview with CNN newsman Piers Morgan on Thursday night.

Elton John raised more than $2 million for his AIDS charity by throwing a star-studded gala in New York on Wednesday night.

The accolade is given to groups or individuals who have made "significant and lasting contributions to live music and the touring business."

The veteran musician is teaming with his film producer partner David Furnish and Billy Elliot writer Lee Hall to work on Rocketman, which will tell the story of the star's life and career through his music.

Elton John is taking legal action against a banker who failed to honor a $1.1 million bid made at a charity auction.

At the singer's annual White Tie and Tiara Ball last year, Spencer Lodge won the chance to spend a day with the Rocket Man hit-maker.

U2 have topped a new Forbes magazine list of the 25 highest-paid touring musicians.

The Irish rockers have pulled in $195 million in the last year from their massive 360 Degrees tour - $70 million more than second-place Bon Jovi.
