Elton John was in spectacular form as he returned from illness to perform at Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee concert in London on Monday evening.

The Rocket Man returned to the stage on Sunday night for the first time since he was diagnosed with pneumonia and hospitalized.

And he was back behind the piano on Monday for pal Gary Barlow's royal celebration outside Buckingham Palace.

Sir Elton hit the stage wearing a sparkling pink blazer, and performed his survival hit I'm Still Standing and followed it up with "Your Song" and "Crocodile Rock".

Elton John was hospitalized in Los Angeles on Wednesday after falling ill with a serious respiratory infection.

The Rocket Man checked into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in the early hours and was subjected to a series of tests. Elton was told he needed "complete rest and antibiotic treatment to prevent damage" and doctors ordered him to take seven days off from performing.

As a result, he's scrapped this week's upcoming shows in Las Vegas.

The disco queen was on the ballot for the class of 2012, but was overlooked in favor of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Donovan, Laura Nyro, Beastie Boys and Guns N' Roses, who were all inducted to the Hall last month.
