New mom Jewel has penned a children's book.

The Who Will Save Your Soul hit-maker took advantage of her down time after falling pregnant in 2010, and wrote her first novel for kids, titled That's What I'd Do.

The tome, which aims to teach children the magic of rhyming, is set to be released through publisher Simon & Schuster on September 18th.

Singer Jewel is a first-time mom after giving birth to a baby boy in Texas on Monday evening.

The musician and her rodeo star husband Ty Murray are the proud parents of little Kase Townes Murray, who weighed in at seven pounds, six ounces.

Pregnant singer Jewel has assured fans she's recovering well following her car accident on Friday morning, insisting she feels "blessed" to have avoided serious injury.

Pregnant singer Jewel was briefly hospitalized on Friday morning after a volunteer fire truck smashed into the side of her car.
