Joan Jett Joins Fight Against Canada's Seal Trade
Rocker Joan Jett has waded into the debate over Canada's controversial seal cull, urging European Union (E.U.) officials to uphold a ban on imported pelts.
Thousands of seals are clubbed to death annually in Canada as part of the controversial trade, which sees the mammals' pelts sold to firms in other countries, including Norway. Canadian and Norwegian authorities are challenging a Europe-wide ban and Jett insists they should make their arguments public as consumers have a right to know where their goods come from.

Watch Gwyneth Paltrow's Return To 'Glee' For Sex Education
Gwyneth Paltrow returned to Glee last night to reprise her role as substitute teacher Holly Holiday. After teaching a dance class to the students in an 80s workout leotard, Paltrow substituted as the sex education teacher and causes a scandal by handing out condoms to students.
For her sex ed. class, Gwyneth performs "Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah)" by Joan Jett while wearing an easily-unbuttoned leather jacket. For a finale, she tells students: "So, just remember, if you ever have sex with someone you are having sex with everyone they've ever had sex with... and everybody's got a rando...

Ronan Keating's Fairytale of New York by The Pogues came second in the shameful survey, while Celine Dion's version of AC/DC's You Shook Me All Night Long was named third.
Muse's rendition of Feeling Good by Nina Simone was branded the best cover of recent years in the poll.

Finally! Kristen Stewart Smiles & Shows Some Skin At 'Runaways' NYC Premiere
Kristen Stewart actually cracked a smile at "The Runaways" New York City premiere yesterday. The normally moody and broody "Twilight" star looked fab in a blue, white and gold sequined minidress.
The film follows '70s female rock group the Runaways, focusing on the duo of guitarist/vocalist Joan Jett (portrayed by Stewart) and lead vocalist/keyboardist Cherie Currie (Dakota Fanning) as they navigate a rocky road of touring and record label woes under the malevolent eye of an abusive manager during their teen years.

Joan Jett: 'I'll Never Retire'
Iconic 1970s rocker Joan Jett has vowed never to retire because she'd be too "bored" living her life away from the limelight.
Jett's teenage rock band The Runaways broke up in 1979 and she went on to launch a successful solo career and enjoy a string of acting roles.
The singer is still touring at the age of 51 - and insists she'll still be rocking well into old age.
She tells People magazine, "I'd get bored after a few weeks. I'll be working until I die."

Cherie Currie's Rape Scene Cut From 'Runaways' Film
Cherie Currie's teenage rape ordeal was axed from the storyline of the new "The Runaways" biopic - because writer/director Floria Sigismondi didn't want the Cherry Bomb singer to lose her innocence at the beginning of the movie.
Currie, who is portrayed by Dakota Fanning in the new film, admits there was a sexual assault that inspired her whole look, but Sigismondi didn't want to dwell on an incident before the rocker formed the band with Joan Jett.

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies- 'The Bounty Hunter,' 'Diary Of A Wimpy Kid,' & More
When I read the results of the Oscars, I was not terribly surprised by any of the winners. I felt that a lot of the films and actors that were played up very politically in the entertainment industry were the ones that walked away with the coveted statues.
While I have seen many of the various movies that were up for awards there are several I’m ashamed I still haven’t seen like “Precious,” “Crazy Heart,” and “The Hurt Locker.” Of the three “The Hurt Locker” remains at the top of my list, just because I’ve heard nothing but good things about it.

Kristen Stewart Banned From 'Groping' Dakota Fanning
Kristen Stewart was banned from "groping" Dakota Fanning during their onscreen kiss for new movie "The Runaways" - because her co-star was just 15 when they shot the steamy scene.
The pair puckered up for a same-sex smooch during the film, about the 1970s rock group and featuring the "Twilight" actress as Joan Jett and Fanning as her band mate Cherie Currie.

Joan Jett Impressed With Kristen Stewart's 'Quiet Intensity'
Joan Jett is delighted with Kristen Stewart's portrayal of her in new movie biopic The Runaways - insisting the Twilight star's "quiet intensity" defined her.
The teenager studied Jett by listening to the icon's music and partying with the star, and even mastered playing a left-handed guitar in a bid to portray the rocker authentically.
And Jett is convinced Stewart's dedication paid off.

Q&A: Kristen Stewart On 'New Moon,' Taylor Lautner, & Robert Pattinson
At first it seemed like being the leading lady of a number one franchise would be too much for Kristen Stewart to handle. On her first round of press for Twilight, she appeared intensely nervous. She was photographed smoking a bong and later incurred the wrath of Twihards with some poor choice of words.
Two movies and a year of press later, Stewart seems a much mellower, well adjusted lady. Maybe it's her Joan Jett hair that projects a more carefree attitude, but her body language is definitely more comfortable, and she speaks with decisive confidence. At least she did in her press confe...
