15 Songs Referencing Mental Disorders

15 Songs Referencing Mental Disorders
First and foremost, mental conditions, disorders, and syndromes are no laughing matter; they’re very serious and sensitive conditions. Interestingly, numerous musicians have cited such disorders within their music, whether directly or as a reference point. After a perusal of various mental disorders and various songs referencing said disorders, here are 15 songs referencing mental disorders (NOTE* – not all of them are technically disorders).

1) One Direction, “Stockholm Syndrome” (Four, 2014)

On fourth album Four, One Direction definitely showed maturity beyond their years, at least i...

12 'Bloody' Great Songs

Good Blood, Bad Blood, Young Blood… 12 'Bloody' Great Songs
Ah blood – what a morbid, unpleasant topic! Not necessarily, as blood contextually can refer to any number of things. Perhaps it’s the bloodstream, DNA or a deeper, metaphorical context. Over the course of this ‘bloody great’ list, blood is used both literally and figuratively, depending on the artist and song. Here are 12 bloody great songs… well some of ‘em are great!

1) Future, “Blood On the Money” (DS2, 2015)

Arguably, DS2 can be described as the best album of Future’s career. It’s shallow, but even so, Future clearly sounds in his zone rapping about, well, drugs. “Blood on the Mone...

Disturbed Tops Billboard 200

Disturbed Return To a Familiar Place – No. 1 On The Billboard 20
Disturbed shocked the world this week – NOT! The popular rock band debuted at #1 for a fifth straight time with Immortalized, their first new album in five years. The numbers weren’t sexy per se, but the 98,000 units were enough to seal the deal atop the Billboard 200. Still, isn’t it a shame that no album was able to move 100,000 units for a second straight week? It’s not 42,000 units level of tepidness that Descendants endured, but still.

Disturbed weren’t the only debuts to land within the top 10 of the Billboard 200. Country singer Kip Moore quietly bows fourth with Wild Ones to th...

Luke Bryan Stays At No. 1

Luke Bryan Makes It Two Weeks Atop Billboard 200
It’s hard to topple a king, and that’s exactly what country singer Luke Bryan is this week. After dropping Kill The Lights with robust numbers last week, Bryan manages to keep the top spot warm for a second consecutive week. No, he couldn’t score another 345,000 units, but he was good enough for another 99,000. Sophomore week blues happen to everybody, even when you’re a “Country Man” like Bryan.

So with Luke at the top once more, were there any newbies that debuted in the top 10? Yes. Melanie Martinez entered at #6 with her unique debut effort Cry Baby moving 40,000 units. The numbe...

Disturbed Lead Albums To Check Out This Week
Last week was a quieter week on the new music release front – not diminishing the works from the musicians who dropped new music of course. After a bang occurred with new albums from Luke Bryan and Dr. Dre, things cooled down. This week, things heat back up with a dash of rock, country, and pop. Here are six albums to check out this week.

1) Disturbed, Immortalized (Reprise)

Metal band Disturbed return after a five-year hiatus with their sixth studio album, Immortalized. Immortalized serves as the follow-up to 2010’s Asylum, which debuted at a familiar spot for the band, number one....

Michael Keaton Hosts 'SNL' For First Time In Over 20 Years - We
Michael Keaton’s innate charm was on full display during this past awards season. That was not as present in his third “SNL” hosting stint (and first in over 20 years). Instead, he reminded viewers of his dark side. While he never actually suited up as Batman or Beetlejuice during the episode, his roles did seem to be inspired by that portion of his career. The result was a surplus of oddly severe sketches, some of which were praiseworthy in their boldness, but others which were cringeworthy in their difficulty to watch.

Final Four Postgame – “SNL” was operating right down to the wire ...

Considering Hollywood's idea of the perfect body, the artist adds that his work helps to promote a healthier body image instead of the usual models and actresses who are photoshopped to appear sli...
