Il Divo has become the most successful international musical break-out story of the past few years, selling more than 13 million albums. Conquering the hearts of fans and the charts of nations all around the world, the group has garnered some 104 gold and platinum awards in 33 countries.

American Idol judge Simon Cowell has discovered another classical act, after the success of Il Divo. Music mogul Cowell admits he would rather listen to choral music than pop - and believes the sound of church choirs is an untapped musical market.

Riding high on the success of her multi-platinum debut album "Call off the Search," Katie Melua's latest album "Piece By Piece," has sold over 2.5 million copies and holds steady at the top of the charts throughout Europe. She is currently Britain's biggest-selling female artist for two consecutive years (2004 and 2005).

Music Rising, an organization that replaces lost instruments belonging to Gulf Coast musicians affected by hurricanes Katrina and Rita, is hosting an online auction for summer concert tickets. Every Saturday throughout April fans can bid on summer gig tickets, with each winner getting four premium concert seats, and in most cases, an Epiphone guitar autographed by the show's performers.

Barbra Streisand is to do another farewell tour. The singer-turned-actress - who last said 'goodbye' to fans in 2000 - will kick the 20 date run off in the autumn. An insider told New York Post newspaper "Barbra will perform 'in the round' from the middle of arenas. She'll be paid $2 million per show, with the best tickets retailing for $1,500 a pop."

NBC lights up the night with an array of musical performances and the lighting of the world's most famous Christmas tree during the 8th annual "Christmas in Rockefeller Center" spectacular, telecast live on Wednesday, Nov. 30 (8-9:00 p.m. ET/PT). Hosted by Al Roker ("Today") and Megan Mullally ("Will & Grace"), the 73rd tree-lighting extravaganza will feature Rod Stewart, Sheryl Crow, Carrie Underwood ("American Idol"), Regis Philbin, Brian Wilson ("The Beach Boys"), the Brian Setzer Orchestra, and Earth, Wind & Fire performing current hits and holiday favorites sure to warm the coldest holiday heart.

18-year-old International singing sensation Hayley Westenra has received the coveted opening slot on Il Divo's US tour. Set to begin January 31st in Wallingford, CT, the songstress will tour with the band across the United States until the end of February -- approximately 14 dates.
