Queens of the Stone Age singer Josh Homme has a big problem with what he and his band was asked to do at Jay Z's music festival.

The rock band played at Jay Z's Made In America festival in Philadelphia earlier this month. Homme told CBC Radio 2, "That guy's a kook, you know. "The idea they frisked all my guys, means you’re in some different place, no-one has ever done that."

Homme, along with former Kyuss star Scott Reeder, have filed suit against singer John Garcia and drummer Brant Bjork, accusing them of "trademark infringement and consumer fraud" for attempting to trademark the band's name without them.

Where Do Bands Get Their Names?

November 11th, 2008 11:01am EST
The Band
Sometimes the music doesn't matter. A band that channels the combined genius of John Lennon, Strauss and The Spice Girls can still fall flat with the wrong name. It took more than a few tries to get it right for many of the most popular groups of all time.
