The Bangles Sign Comeback Deal

All-girl rockers The Bangles have signed a comeback deal and plan to release their first album in eight years.

Susanna Hoffs and sisters Vicki and Debbie Peterson have teamed up with new label Model Music Group to release "Sweetheart of the Sun" in September.

The band split in the late 1980s after dominating the charts with hits like "Walk Like An Egyptian" and "Eternal Flame," and officially reformed in 1999 to record "Get The Girl" for the soundtrack of Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, which was directed by Hoffs' husband Jay Roach.

Return To Bangleonia was recorded in September 2000 at the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles with the original lineup of Susanna Hoffs (Vocals/Guitar), Debbi Peterson (Vocals/Drums), Vicki Peterson (Vocals/Lead Guitar), and Michael Steele (Vocals/Bass).
