The self-titled debut album from A City on a Lake arrived in July, and it's definitely something different: an interesting cross-pollination of electronic sounds with classical songwriting, the kind of album you can put on, sit back and have deep thoughts to. Hana Pestle has announced that she will hit the road for a 2009 tour with the likes of Sister Hazel, Pat McGee and Ari Hest. The dates will kick off this week in Baton Rouge, LA on February 11th. Hana is adding new tracks from her forthcoming album to the set list including "Need" as well as cover songs from Muse, REM, and Radiohead.

On January 7, New York Indie artist Ari Hest will launch an ambitious new project titled "52," a web-based subscription service designed to deliver a new song each week throughout 2008 to all registrants, with his first single titled "One Two." At the end of the year, Hest will compile the top tracks as voted by fans on to a new disc for release in 2009.
