Understandably, you have a lot to say, what with all of the tragic events of your past and your recent brief, inauspicious tenure with Wind-Up Records, and Hate surely is your soapbox. Hawthorne Heights Announce 'Hate' EP, Out August 23 On Band's New Record Label

Dayton, OH rock band Hawthorne Heights announce the launch of their own imprint record label, Cardboard Empire, on which they will self-release an upcoming series of new EPs. The first in a planned series of three EPs, Hate, will be released on August 23 and is now available for pre-order on www.hawthorneheights.com.

"Four White Walls," the first release from the Hate EP will be premiering on MTV.com this Friday, August 12. The group also plans to release a music video for each track off Hate, the first for the song, "Is This What You Wanted?"

Jet And The Vines Join PETA Against Seal Slaughter

Aussie rockers Jet and The Vines have joined forces in a bid to end seal slaughter in Canada. Members of the groups have joined People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA)'s youth campaign by signing a petition at Australia's Big Day Out Festival, calling for an end to the hunt, which is the largest slaughter of marine mammals on the planet.

This year's hunt is over, but the petition, which will be sent to Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, calls on the country's government to put a permanent end to the bloody slaughter.

The tragic accident early Halloween morning that took the life of Bayside drummer John "Beatz" Holoran and seriously injured bassist Nick Ghanbarian was devastating to the band, their families and friends. Bayside Singer Releases Statement About Tragic Accident

As previously reported, on October 31, Bayside's van flipped over after hitting a patch of ice. The accident injured everyone in the vehicle and claimed the life of Bayside drummer John "Beatz" Holohan. Singer/guitarist Anthony Raneri has now released a statement about the events:
