The second of two LPs from this particular engagement once again teams together the great veterans Coleman Hawkins and trumpeter Roy Eldridge. Tenor legend Hawkins explores "Body and Soul" again (his many interpretations were always different from previous ones), and backed by a fine local rhythm section, the duo jams exuberantly on such numbers as "Blue Lou," "Soft Winds" and "Just You, Just Me." Although no longer pacesetters, Hawkins and Eldridge remained creative and exciting up until the end; they were still in their prime for this fine session. Scott Yanow, All Music Guide
