Hard Rock Hotels and Casinos will pay homage to its distinctive music heritage with the launch of a limited-edition CD series, Mark Ronson Presents Hard Rock, curated by DJ/producer Mark Ronson.

Step Up tells the story of Tyler Gage (Channing Tatum) a rebel from the wrong side of Baltimore’s tracks and Nora (Jenna Dewan) a privileged ballet dancer attending Baltimore’s ultra-elite Maryland School of the Arts. When trouble with the law lands Tyler with a community service gig at Maryland School of the Arts, he arrives as an angry outsider, until his skills as a gifted street dancer draw Nora’s attention.

Mary J. Blige, Kanye West and Jamie Foxx were big winners at the BET Awards last night. All three stars walked away from the ceremony, which celebrates black artists, at the Shrine Auditorium, in Los Angeles, with two prizes each.

Motown Records has signed celebrated, one-man entertainment arsenal, Nick Cannon, in a venture with the actor/musician, to be called Can I Ball/Motown Records. Cannon's debut for the new label, Stages, featuring the first single "Dimepiece," and guest appearance by the first artist signed to his label, Izzy, is slated to be released in spring 2006.
