Sammy Hagar Rings In The New Year With Online Radio Network

Former Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar is to launch a new internet rock radio network on New Year's Eve. The Cabo Wabo Radio project will ring in 2008 from Mexico, where Hagar is now based.

Shows will take place at the rocker's Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas. The first broadcast will cover Hagar's New Year's Eve Party.

Country stars Kenny Chesney and Toby Keith will take the stage together in Mexico this weekend as part of pal Sammy Hagar's 60th birthday celebrations.

The former Van Halen star has planned a star-studded event in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico as part of his 60th celebrations.

Rockers Michael Anthony, Chad Smith and Ted Nugent are also scheduled to perform at the birthday party, which highlights a two-week festival at Hagar's Cabo Wabo Cantina club - and also helps him kick off his latest U.S. tour.

Former Van Halen star Sammy Hagar has scrapped an annual show at his Lake Tahoe club in Nevada after falling ill. Hagar and his band, the Wabos, were scheduled to perform at the Tahoe Wabo club tonight and tomorrow as part of the venue's Cinco De Mayo celebrations - but the shows have been canceled.

After months of speculation, the group will hit the road this summer with original frontman David Lee Roth and leader Eddie Van Halen's teenage son Wolfgang on bass.
