Grover Washington, Jr. was born on December 12, 1943 in Buffalo, New York and was a jazz-funk / soul-jazz saxophonist. Washington has been associated with other famous jazz musicians, such as George Benson and Herb Albert, as one of the foundering members of the smooth jazz movement.
