The Quality Of Popular Music Has Declined
When you look at someone who succeeds in a certain field, there are always numerous factors on why that person’s particular talent is above the rest and he or she seems to always excel. Take Peyton Manning, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Denzel Washington, and even Albert Pujols, and it is evident that these special talents have not only shown the world their skills, but also inherited the proficiency of their particular areas. They do it for the art of their field. Not that sports and music goes hand in hand because they don’t, it’s just those particular athletes love their arena. And becaus...

Justin Timberlake Learned To Sing From Michael Jackson

December 25th, 2010 9:30am EST
Timberlake,_Justin
Justin Timberlake is hardly recognizable in his latest role. He provides the voice of Boo Boo in the live-action Yogi Bear, so you don’t see his face an it doesn’t even sound like him. It turned out Timberlake is quite a mimic, as he revealed the skills that taught him how to sing in the first place.

“Funny enough, I learned how to sing when I was a kid imitating singers on the radio,” Timberlake said. “Al Green, Michael Jackson and Don Henley, those a few names I can remember off the top of my head.”

Animated bears were an afterthought that came with Timberlake’s hidden talent. “I’m an o...

Check Out J. Holiday's First Single, 'Bed,' From New CD 'Back Of My Lac,' Due October 2

J. Holiday
Capitol Records' new R&B crooner J. Holiday debuts his first single, Bed, from his forthcoming album Back of My Lac, due in stores October 2. Bed was written by The Dream and Tricky Stewart, the pair responsible for Rihanna's Umbrella.

There are no mirrors or tricks here, no sleight of hand. When J. Holiday talks earnestly of "following my dreams" and "being in love with music," it's not a deliberately sympathetic portrayal by a partial writer. In fact, J.'s talent is matched –in rarity and intensity—only by his enthusiasm. His candor and vulnerability are refreshing, given the static,...
