Macy Gray feels so tormented about agreeing to perform concerts in Israel next month, she has taken the unusual step of asking her fans whether she should cancel the gigs or not.

The I Try hitmaker is scheduled to play a series of shows in Tel Aviv, but she has come under pressure from activists to axe the concerts as part of a boycott over the lengthy Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Gray took to the internet on Monday to ask for advice, writing in a post on Facebook.com, "I'm getting a lot of letters from activists urging/begging me to boycott by NOT performing...

Review: 'For Colored Girls' Would Have Been Better Suited For The Small Screen

November 3rd, 2010 10:00am EDT
Four Colored Girls
A good movie either needs the big screen, the big budget, or big stars to be worthy of an audience as large as Tyler Perry's. “For Colored Girls” would make a wonderful first season of a cable (or TBS) drama.

Tyler Perry's "For Colored Girls" is one of those movies that follows interconnecting stories of people going through struggles. The domestically abused, the sexually assaulted, accidentally impregnated, the barren, and hopelessly devoted. Think “Valentines Day” with rape.

The movie is not unlike that of a, or, well, six lifetime films in that it's about women who don't need men. Or ...

Macy Gray:'The Kids Used To Call Me Watermelon Head'

July 16th, 2010 11:37am EDT
Macy Gray
Macy Gray was teased by her peers as a kid because of her huge skull - cruel classmates dubbed her 'Watermelon Head'.

The I Try hit-maker towered over her school pals and spent most of her teens being teased for reaching 5 foot 11 inches by the time she was 12 years old. And Gray admits she was left with a less-than-flattering moniker after bullies decided to point out her overgrown head.

She tells U.K. TV show Loose Women, "I'm 5' 11in. When I was a kid - other kids find something to pick on you about, mine was my height. I've been this height since I was in sixth grade, (maybe) sevent...
