Nash reveals, "He said, 'What the hell would it cost you to have David Crosby and Graham Nash getting on a bloody train to Brighton to sing with you?' We’re musicians. We love good songs. We’ll sing them until we are dead."

Pink Floyd
Pink Floyd stars Roger Waters, David Gilmour and Nick Mason have taken aim at bosses behind online radio service Pandora, accusing them of attempting to trick artists into supporting their call for reduced royalties.

The ageing rockers have come together to write an op-ed piece for USA Today to criticise music company executives for lobbying lawmakers in the U.S. Congress to pass the Internet Radio Fairness Act, which would potentially reduce royalty payments to songwriters and performers by as much as 85 per cent.

The music legend is currently renovating his $4.8 million seaside mansion in East Sussex, England, but his building plans had to be delayed after they unearthed the explosive device.

Gilmour's wife Polly Samson writes in a post on her Twitter.com page, "They've found a bomb under our building site! We think it's a bit of old pipe but MoD (Ministry of Defense) on their way."

David Gilmour: 'Pink Floyd Reunion Is Just As Unlikely As Ever'

September 28th, 2011 10:55pm EDT
Pink Floyd
A full-on Pink Floyd reunion between David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Roger Waters appears to have stalled because the band's leaders have failed to keep in touch following a trio of unexpected get togethers in recent years.

Waters and Gilmour put aside their long-running feud and reunited onstage after 24 years at the Live 8 concert in London in 2005, and they have since performed together again for a low-key charity show and during Waters' The Wall spectacular in the British capital earlier this year.

But Gilmour insists fans who are hoping for a full-scale reunion are praying for somethin...

David Gilmour Ordered To Pull Beach Hut Down

September 18th, 2011 4:00pm EDT
David Gilmour
Pink Floyd star David Gilmour has been ordered to pull down his bright yellow beach hut in East Sussex, England, because local officials consider it an eyesore.

The "Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving with a Pict" singer uses the shed, based on the driveway of his seafront mansion in Hove, to store his bicycles.

Gilmour and his wife, writer Polly Samson, appealed against the council's request to have the building destroyed, but officials are now demanding the musician take the hut down or face prosecution.

A spokesperson from Brighton and Hove...

He attended a court hearing on Friday, when it emerged he has since been charged with a second offence of violent disorder, in connection with an incident later on the same day when a car carrying Charles, Prince of Wales and his...

2010 Year In Entertainment Review: December

January 2nd, 2011 7:00pm EST
Miley Cyrus
December saw a series of scandals as the stars brought a touch of sex and drugs to the festive season - and wildchild Miley Cyrus led the way. The former Disney star ended 2010 by reminding us all she's a grown up now after she was caught on camera smoking legal hallucinogenic Salvia from a bong, and hit headlines again days later when she was pictured in a girl-on-girl clinch and exposing her bra while surrounded by hunky men.

Her pal Demi Lovato joined the Hannah Montana star in scandal when provocative photos which appeared to show her partly-exposing her breasts leaked on the internet,...

The violent clashes with riot police were captured on camera by TV news crews and, in video footage posted on Telegraph.co.uk, the 21 year old can be seen swing...

Roger Waters Showing Anti-Semitic Imagery On Tour?

September 30th, 2010 9:23pm EDT
Roger Waters
Roger Waters knew his questionable stance on the conflict between Palestinians and Jews would raise controversy on his ongoing "The Wall" concert tour - but insists he's not trying to start trouble.

Waters' fiancee has come to the rocker's defense after officials at the Anti-Defamation League in America criticized the former Pink Floyd star for his use of images including the Jewish Star of David and the U.S. dollar sign which are projected above the stage during the shows.

Organization director Abe Foxman claims Waters is using the imagery to comment on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict a...

September 16th, 2010 2:00pm EDT
Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason is pushing for the band to reunite - even though they're not "really ready". The group reformed for a brief comeback at 2005's Live 8 charity concert in London and have faced constant speculation of an extended reunion ever since.

Former feuding stars David Gilmour and Roger Waters performed together at a charity gig earlier this year - and now Mason is keen to regroup completely.

He tells Sky News, "We played Live 8 which is hopefully a template for something we could do again. It might almost be better if we really kept it as something to be used for good. ...

December 25th, 2008 5:00pm EST
Led Zeppelin
Since the surviving members of Led Zeppelin reformed last December for a one-off show to pay tribute to late Atlantic Records founder and legend Ahmet Ertegun, the man who discovered and brought us some of the most talented artists of all-time (seriously, we really could use another Ahmet right about now-- but since the almighty dollar overshadows the need for actual talent we can forget that) and gave a handful of folks in England the greatest holiday gift ever, there has been a weekly story about the band going on tour. And not going on tour. But wanting to tour. And not wanting to tour. ...

In a post on his website on Monday, Gilmour wrote, "I'm so sorry to break the sad news that Richard has passed away after a battle with cancer. I really don't know what to say other than that he was such a lovely, gentle, genuine man and will be missed terribly by so many who lov...

Dave Gilmour: 'Pink Floyd's Style Created From Our Lack Of Talent'

August 29th, 2008 11:43am EDT
David Gilmour
Pink Floyd legend David Gilmour insists the band developed their own unique style - because they were not talented enough to play the blues.

The guitarist revealed the rockers only made "spacey, atmospheric" music in the early 1960s because they were not musically accomplished enough to tackle trickier tunes.

And it was down to a fluke that their style became popular and propelled them to superstardom.

Gilmour says, "We were never the most proficient musicians. When the band started, Pink Floyd were unique in that they weren't great blues players. In fact, we never did become...

5 Underrated Guitar Players

June 25th, 2008 9:00am EDT
John Frusciante
Whenever one creates an "underrated" list, it often sparks an argument. Maybe that's because it's such a hard concept to define. Some might say an individual is far too under appreciated, while another might say, "Nope. He's rated right where he should be."

With music it's all about a person's ear and what he or she digs on. After all, there are no statistics to back a person up (unlike a topic such as sports where one might say that the importance of Dennis Rodman's rebounding was overlooked, and he/she would have the 20 boards a game stat right in front of him/her).

In a l...

David Gilmour Hints At More Pink Floyd Gigs

May 28th, 2008 5:13pm EDT
David Gilmour
Pink Floyd star David Gilmour has hinted the legendary band could reform for more gigs - despite refuting reports of a full comeback last year. The English musician reunited Pink Floyd for a one-off charity show for Live8 in 2005, but insisted he was too "happy on his own" to get back with his bandmates.

But now Gilmour admits he hasn't completely ruled out performing with Rick Wright, Nick Mason and former singer Roger Waters again - it just won't be in the near future.

He tells BBC 6Music, "Who knows? Who knows the future? I haven't absolutely said 'no' to the possibility, but I...

Other unique features of the show included the special 6-...

Mason says, "I'm pretty sure we'll play together again. We're not at each others throats now."

The Live8 performance marked the end of a 20-year feud between David Gilmour and former frontman Roger Waters.
