Singer Amy Grant supported her husband Vince Gill in Los Angeles on Thursday as he was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The 27-time Grammy winner was honored with the 2,478th star on the prestigious Hollywood Boulevard, next to his wife Grant's honor in front of the popular eatery Hard Rock Hollywood.

Both the I Will Remember You hit-maker and his 20-year-old daughter Jenny were on hand for the ceremony, as were dozens of waiting fans and his country star pal Reba McEntire.

Country star Vince Gill is upset his songs have been sidelined from radio playlists and feels "deflated" by the lack of interest in his music.

The 54 year old released his latest album Guitar Slinger last month but lead single Threaten Me with Heaven only reached number 42 on the U.S. country charts.

Comedian Steve Martin is returning to the show that helped launch his career, to promote his new project - an album of bluegrass songs.

The actor will showcase tracks from The Crow: New Songs for the Five-String Banjo on Saturday Night Live on January 31, 33 years after he made his debut on the comedy program.

Steel Guitarist John Hughey Dies

Musician John Hughey has died. He was 73. The steel guitarist, who made a name for himself playing for country stars Conway Twitty and Vince Gill, passed away in Nashville, Tennessee, on Sunday.

The Arkansas native worked with childhood friend Twitty for two decades until the late 1980s, before going on to play for Loretta Lynn and Gill. Most recently, he became a member of touring musicians the Time Jumpers.

He was inducted into the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame in 1996 and his work continues to be featured in movies, TV series and commercials.
