Thrown together to commemorate Garbage's tour of Japan, Special Collection has a couple treats for die-hard fans. The Neptunes remix of "Androgyny" has a sharp beat and an attractive complete overhaul of the chorus. There are better mixes of "Cherry Lips" than the one included here, but the live version of "Vow" is triumphantly energetic. David Jeffries, All Music Guide
