Last night's London Olympics closing ceremony included performances by The Who, the reunited Spice Girls, Muse, One Direction and Queen guitarist Brian May.

Composer David Arnold and Kim Gavin's "A Symphony of British Music" extravaganza kicked off with Scottish singer Emeli Sande performing "Read All About It" to a stadium packed with fans.

Madness, the Pet Shop Boys, One Direction and The Kinks frontman Ray Davies also performed before the 10,800 athletes of the Games marched into the arena.

The Who star Roger Daltrey is convinced Oasis will reform within the next four years.

The rocker, who has had a love-hate relationship with bandmate Pete Townshend for decades, insists it's inevitable that the estranged Gallagher brothers, Noel and Liam, will put their differences to one side for a major comeback.

He tells British radio network Xfm, "You know damn well that they'll be together - I predict within four years. And it will be magic. They'll be bigger than ever and they'll be drinking twice as much."

Liam Gallagher has stunned Oasis fans by revealing he'd consider a reunion to mark the 20th anniversary of the band's "(What's The Story) Morning Glory" album.

Former Oasis rocker Noel Gallagher married his longtime girlfriend Sara Macdonald in a luxurious ceremony on Saturday.

The pair, who met 11 years ago in a nightclub in Ibiza, cemented their union during a lavish bash at the posh Lime Wood Hotel in Hampshire, south England.

According to reports, the guitarist paid $96,000 for the exclusive use of the hotel for the ceremony, for which he donned a grey suit and black tie.
