Imprisoned rapper Young Buck has spoken out to assure fans he is doing well behind bars, one month after beginning his sentence at a prison in Mississippi.

The former G-Unit band member, real name David Darnell Brown, was sentenced to 18 months behind bars for gun possession in July and he began his prison term on August 6.

Now the embattled star, who is staying at the Yazoo City Low Security Prison in Southern Mississippi, insists he is in good spirits and making the most of a difficult situation.

The rights to Young Buck's songs are to go on sale next month in an effort to pay off the troubled rapper's financial debts.

The former G-Unit star, real name David Darnell Brown, filed for bankruptcy in 2010 after racking up a $300,000 tax bill, prompting Internal Revenue Service agents to raid his Tennessee home and confiscate his possessions.

And now Young Buck is liquidating his assets and selling off his intellectual property on May 14th in a bid to pay back his creditors.

The auction is slated to take place at Tennessee law firm Harwell Howard Hyne Gabbert & Manner.

50 Cent's former G-Unit bandmate, real name David Brown, was driving in Nashville, Tennessee when an unidentified gunman passed by in a white Chevrolet and opened fire on Buck's SUV, hitting it 11 times.

Two Lloyd Banks fans were rushed to the hospital on Saturday after they were stabbed during a brawl at his gig.

The G-Unit rapper was performing at The Town Ballroom in New York when 23-year-old Clayton Webster and Anthony Marshall, 21, were stabbed repeatedly in separate incidents inside the venue.

Webster is said to be in a critical condition at the Erie County Medical Center, and Marshall is stable, reports
