Adele Keeps Van Halen Off The Top Of The U.S. Album Chart

February 15th, 2012 9:33pm EST
Adele
Adele's Grammy hype has helped the singer score another big week on the U.S. album chart - keeping reunited rockers Van Halen off the top.

Van Halen's long-awaited comeback "A Different Kind of Truth" was expected to end Adele's 19-week reign at number one on the Billboard 200 - but the Brit's "21" has scored a 20th week at the top thanks to a Grammy-related sales surge.

Adele made a stunning live comeback after throat surgery in 2011 at the Grammys on Sunday and took home six awards, including Album of the Year.

And partly thanks to the buzz, her 21 sold a stunning 237,000 in the U.S. l...

April 1st, 2009 8:42am EDT
American Idol
Random Thoughts While Waiting for the American Idol Contestants to Start Singing:

-It's amazing how four judges can combine to say absolutely nothing in the show open.

-What a strange theme. Why not just say, "pick whatever song you want"?. How does one define a 'popular' download? Conspiracy people!

-Just when you thought the product placement couldn't get any more shameless - Seacrest uses it to promote his own show!

-Wow, Ryan Seacrest plays drops of Simon Cowell and the "American Idol" theme on his show. Local FM Radio now seems like a bastion of creativity and w...
