Foster The People frontman Mark Foster is climbing to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for charity.

The Pumped Up Kicks hit-maker is among a group of celebrities and activists scaling the peak in Tanzania to highlight the global clean water crisis.

Breaking Bad actor Aaron Paul has taken to Twitter.com to support the rocker, writing, "My friend Mark from Foster The People is on his way to climb Kilimanjaro for a clean water charity. Please send him your love and support."

Foster the People frontman Mark Foster wrote "Pumped Up Kicks" about the growing trend of mental illness among teenagers in a bid to create a conversation about the need for change.

Last week the group's popular song, about a mass shooting, was pulled from the airwaves after gunman Adam Lanza opened fire at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut on December 14, killing 20 young children and six adults before allegedly turning the weapon on himself.

Foster The People's hit track Pumped Up Kicks has been pulled from the airwaves out of respect for the victims of last week's Connecticut school massacre.

Suspected gunman Adam Lanza, 20, opened fire at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown on Friday, killing 20 young children and six adults before allegedly turning the weapon on himself.

The atrocity sent the Nation into mourning and now radio bosses have taken note by removing the popular track from station playlists across the country due to the sensitive nature of its lyrics, which chronicles a kid's desire to plot a murder.

Justin Bieber will co-host the upcoming Wango Tango 2012 pop festival in Carson, California.

The singer will join DJ Ryan Seacrest to front the event at the Home Depot Center on May 12.

Aerosmith rocker and American Idol judge Steven Tyler is offering up the chance to be his date at Elton John's upcoming Oscars party in Hollywood.

The highest bidder of the Charity Buzz auction will dine with the rocker at his table at the glitzy bash on February 26.

The winner will enjoy a cocktail reception, dinner prepared by celebrity chef Cat Cora and a performance by rockers Foster The People at the event hosted annually by the Rocket Man and his partner David Furnish.

The invitation is expected to raise $25,000 for the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

Adele's hit album 21 has been crowned Entertainment Weekly's top album of 2011.

The release has already topped a string of important magazine countdowns and now the Brit can add another major end-of-year accolade to her list.

The album beat Fleet Foxes' Helplessness Blues and Lykke Li's Wounded, while Nicki Minaj's Super Bass was named Best Single ahead of summer anthem Pumped Up Kicks by Foster The People.

Lou Reed's collaborative album with Metallica, Lulu, was named the Worst Album of 2011 and Kim Kardashian's Jam (Turn it Up) picked up the Worst Single dishonor.

Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera have ended Katy Perry's record-breaking run at the top of the U.S. pop chart.

Their "Moves Like Jagger" collaboration has taken over the number one spot thanks to a download surge.

It's Maroon 5's second number one - the band spent three weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 in 2007 with "Makes Me Wonder." Aguilera was last on top back in 2001 with another collaboration - "Lady Marmalade" with Lil' Kim, Pink, Mya and Missy Elliot.
