There are many categories of success in the music industry. Some bands have the backing of a record label and are heavily marketed. Australian band Crowded House were "relieved" when drummer Paul Hester quit the group. The musician left the band in 1994 and front man Neil Finn insists the departure was much-needed. He says, "The day he said he wanted to leave it was like an end to some horrible tension."

Rock band Crowded House have confirmed reports they will reunite for a 12-month world tour later this year. Tour dates are still being finalized, but the band will play at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California in April.
