Bryan Ferry was born September 26, 1945 in Washington, County Durham, England, and is a singer known for his unique vocal style. Ferry rose to prominence in the early 1970s as vocalist and principal songwriter with the band Roxy Music, who were internationally successful with three #1 albums and 10 Top 10 hit singles in the U.K. Roxy Music attained popular and critical success in Europe and Australia during the 1970s and early 1980s, beginning with their debut album, “Roxy Music” in 1972.
