Fatboy Slim turned down Simon Cowell's DJ show

British dance star Fatboy Slim turned down the chance to act as a judge on Simon Cowell's planned reality TV contest for aspiring DJs.

The X Factor and America's Got Talent creator was planning to put together a new show to find the next big DJs, but the project was eventually scrapped last year (12).

Fatboy Slim has now revealed he was approached about joining the show, but he was determined not to take part.

Last night's London Olympics closing ceremony included performances by The Who, the reunited Spice Girls, Muse, One Direction and Queen guitarist Brian May.

Composer David Arnold and Kim Gavin's "A Symphony of British Music" extravaganza kicked off with Scottish singer Emeli Sande performing "Read All About It" to a stadium packed with fans.

Rap superstar Snoop Dogg has dropped out of a major European festival in April after cancelling his tour of the continent.

The Drop It Like It's Hot hit-maker was the main headliner at the Snowbombing event in Mayrhofen, Austria alongside Fatboy Slim, The Vaccines and Example.

However, the festival's organizers released a statement on Friday apologizing to ticketholders when the hip-hop legend pulled out after scrapping all dates in Europe.

Dance music superstar Fatboy Slim has become the latest big name to sign up for a Las Vegas residency.

The "Rockefeller Skank" hitmaker, real name Norman Cook, will play hits and spin records during afternoon shows on the rooftop of the Marquee Day Club throughout the summer, according to Spinner.com.

DJ Fatboy Slim has left rehab, following a month-long stint to battle his alcohol addiction.

British DJ Fatboy Slim has entered rehab in a bid to kick alcohol addiction.

The Right Here, Right Now hit-maker - real name Norman Cook - checked himself into a U.K. rehabilitation center on Monday. The news was confirmed by the 45-year-old manager Garry Blackburn: "It's all pretty straight forward. He has gone in voluntarily to sort out his drinking problem."

Cook was rumored to have previously been treated for alcohol dependency in 2002, but vehemently denied reports he had enrolled in rehab.

Another Teen Death At Scotland's 'RockNess' Festival

A teenager has died at Scottish music festival RockNess - the second in as many years. Eighteen year old Ryan Munro fell unconscious in front of the event's main stage on Sunday and was taken by ambulance to the local Raigmore Hospital in Inverness, where he was later pronounced dead.

Scottish police are understood to be looking into whether drugs played a part in Munro's collapse.

RockNess 2008 saw performances from artists including dance star Fatboy Slim and British rockers The View and Razorlight.

British DJ Norman Cook plans to retire his current pseudonym Fatboy Slim. Cook will change the name he has used for 11 years in a bid to boost his current Guinness World Record for having the most top-40 hits under different names, reports Gigwise.

He says, "Yes, I am ditching the Fatboy Slim name but I can't tell you the new one.

"I'm going to take the Fifth Amendment on that question and not say because I'll get myself into trouble."
